Ash Ketchum Grows up...

Helooo, Pokémon fans...this is Ash Ketchum from Pokémon (duh), and I’ve decided to tell you guys all about why I don’t seem to get any older than ten throughout the Pokémon series...and why my Pikachu never evolved into a Raichu...and so on...

Well. The Pokémon games came first, in 1995. That was the year I was borne, my parents paid for a video game to be created for my first birthday...that was pretty twisted...

Anyway, yes I do have an older brother Named Red – My parents didn’t want us fighting for their attention, and they didn’t want Red to feel abandoned, since he didn’t have a video game made for him, so they made him the video game character so it wouldn’t turn out that I was their favorite.

Red is three years older than me *ahem* was three years older than me...

When I was three (Red was six), in 1998, they made a TV series about me. [[Yeah, they made me ten because a three year old can’t go out into the world on his own]].They didn’t include my brother this time. I have no idea why...anyway, that’s when my parents nightmare came true – sibling rivalry.

At first, my brother was excited, but just a bit depressed, since he wasn’t included in the fun. He slowly began to like the Pokémon series less and less...and me along with it...

Anyway, I became a money-making mascot for 4Kids, and they didn’t want to change the series much, so I stayed ten in the series, and when I was ten, I actually stared in the series as myself. Anyway, they didn’t want my Pikachu to evolve since he was cuter as a Pikachu than as a Raichu...so yeah...

In reality, I did age, and Pikachu really did evolve into Raichu...it’s just that, in the series, they get some different Pikachu to be him, since he was now a Raichu...and they changed the kids who played me countless times.

But back to Red – since he was, pretty much, abandoned by everyone but me (since I was always there for him, though he still hated me for being the most loved, I understood that, and it made me feel sorry for him, which is why I was always there for him in the first place), he had no choice but to be the best at...everything...just to get a little attention from mom and dad.

He hated me, and, as the series progressed, many people started to change their opinion about me, they started to like Red, from the video games, more than me. Probably because the TV series got boring because nothing ever changed...I actually started to get annoyed by always being ten...it’s like I was a vampire or something...

*Sigh* So, Red (the real Red, not video-game Red) still didn’t get our parents to pay as much attention to him as they did to me. He became the best of the best and I was still in the spotlight. He...OD-ed when he was seventeen...I was fourteen back then, now I’m seventeen...and it looks like I’m gonna follow in my brother’s footsteps...

Red’s fans keep pressuring me about how I’ll never be as awesome as he was, and they only compare him to the TV series versions of me (which really sucks...TV me can’t do anything...again, it’s because the series needs to be as long as possible so 4Kids can get as much money as possible...damn them...I’m not that lame, really, I’m not)...plus, I feel guilty for what happened to my brother...
You see, I’m not as optimistic in reality as I am in the show...I cut myself...a lot...I slit my wrists a couple of times...nearly died once...

Once I actually took a bunch of random pills, slit my wrists AND hung myself...I even left a note written in my own blood...

Fortunately, Raichu saved me. Thanks, buddy, I owe you one...
Anyway...I hope this answers all your questions...wait...I forgot to mention one thing...my dad...! *face-palm*

*Sigh*
Well, my dad doesn’t show up in the series because he said he wasn’t good enough for it. He said only the special part of the family should be in it, which was my mother and I, and he kinda put it into Red’s head that he just wasn’t good enough and that that’s why we didn’t include him in the series.
